New Jersey School of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Studies
In the mid-1970’s, the Center of Alcohol Studies joined forces with the New Jersey Division of Alcoholism to conduct the New Jersey School of Alcohol Studies. Participants at the New Jersey School networked with colleagues and leaders in the field in the state. When the program needed a broader perspective and input from individuals from other states and countries, the School expanded into the Institute of Alcohol Studies, which, in 1999, was folded into the Institute of Alcohol and Drug Studies.
