Installation

Ninth Annual New Jersey Book Arts Symposium

Styles of Collecting, Styles of the Book

2003 Exhibition Installation

Artists were invited to install their own cases, or collaborate in the installation of their own cases, so that the presentation of their work most closely reflected artistic intention. Karen Guancione, curator, created an installation within her own display case, patterned loosely upon her installation at the Paterson Museum celebrating labor in the winter of 2003. Assisting her were her book art students, who had a case of their own to exhibit their own work. The photographs in the table (and in the detour) were taken by Lisa Hasselbrook (above) and Ms. Guancione.
